RJ is currently serving as the Vice President and Associate General Counsel – Mergers & Acquisitions and Americas Commercial for Zimmer Biomet. After the completion of the merger between Zimmer and Biomet, RJ was appointed as the Vice President and Associate General Counsel – Americas. Prior to the merger, RJ was Division General Counsel for Biomet Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Trauma and Biologics for several years. He joined Biomet in 2003 after spending several years as a trial attorney in Chicago, most recently with the law firm of Freeborn & Peters. During his tenure with Biomet and Zimmer Biomet, RJ has worked extensively with various senior management leaders on a global scale involving multiple subject matters including, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, health care law, licensing, commercial contracting, and governmental/regulatory matters (e.g., Food and Drug Administration). RJ received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University in 1994, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1997.
