Cristina serves as a Director of New Product Development for Zimmer Biomet Reconstruction. She started her career at Zimmer Biomet in 2007 in Research with responsibility for product testing. She then transitioned into Development as a Project Manager then into Development management roles. Over the course of her career, she has overseen the successful development and commercialization of numerous hip and knee product lines including most recently Zimmer Biomet’s first additively manufactured cementless tibia implant. Prior to joining Zimmer Biomet Cristina worked at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a Research Engineer, Staff Development Engineer and Customer Account Technical Manager. Cristina has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering with Specialization in Management from The University of Akron. She has a combination of 10 patents and trade secrets, and was named Goodyear’s Inventor of the Year in 2006. She is a licensed Professional Engineer, certified in Project Management and has completed a Regulatory Affairs Certificate in Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals.
