OrthoWorx and IN-MaC have collaborated with area schools and industry to launch two Advanced Manufacturing Academies starting in the 2024-2025 school year. The academies will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between education and industry, fostering a next generation of highly skilled and motivated individuals. The mission of these programs is to engage high school students in immersive learning experiences, through high-tech, industry integrated curriculum, preparing them for successful and rewarding careers in advanced manufacturing. Students will gain greater visibility to career options with the manufacturing sector in our region and the opportunities that exist within the established industry of orthopedics right here in our community.
Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pathway
In partnership with four local manufacturers – Instrumental Machine & Development, Medartis, Precision Medical Technologies and Zimmer Biomet this program will be offered to a select group of junior & senior manufacturing pathway students at the Warsaw Area Career Center
Polywood Academy
A collaboration of POLYWOOD and Pathway CTE Cooperative. This program merges POLYWOOD’s industry expertise with Pathways’ forward-thinking educational approach, offering students a relevant manufacturing curriculum and hands-on experiences in industrial maintenance, robotics and engineering.
IN-MaC
IN-MaC provides programs and services to enhance the talents and capabilities of Indiana’s present and future workforce by facilitating connections between educators and industry to catalyze the formation of near-term and long-term skills in a highly accessible manner across Indiana. IN-MaC supports a variety of STEM-type, skilled trades, degree (associates and undergraduate) and certificate programs. IN-MaC leverages its resources, networks and partnership with industry, local communities, educators and interested stakeholders to provide a variety of formal courses and informal activities that embolden pathways to meet the talent needs of the present and future manufacturing workforce
