OrthoWorx Shows Off Orthopedic Capital of the World® to Future Engineers

On Thursday, March 21st, OrthoWorx, as a part of its Think Ortho initiative, gave Purdue University Biomedical Engineering students a tour of the Orthopedic Capital of the World®. During the tour, the students toured three manufacturing facilities, learned about the Grace College Orthopaedic MBA and had the opportunity to network with local young professional engineers.

As a part of the tour, students visited Zimmer Biomet, Instrumental Machine and Development, and DePuy Synthes. They were able to see each of the facilities and their manufacturing processes as well as converse with employees and participate in a panel discussion. Grace College provided lunches where the students were able to hear about the Orthopaedic MBA program and network with young professionals from local companies. In addition, they were exposed to the amenities of Warsaw and Winona Lake.

“The positive feedback we’ve received highlights the valuable experience it provided for our students to learn more about orthopedics within the area on a real-world industry scale.” The Think Ortho initiative of OrthoWorx is our effort in promoting the Orthopedic industry as a career opportunity for college students and young professionals. In addition to local tours, we participate in college career fairs and promote the industry in other similar events.
