OrthoWorx members play a valuable role each year in the United Way of Kosciusko County campaign through their generous donations, hard work and dedication to the community.

These United Way partners are leading other contributors in bettering the quality of life and place for residents of Kosciusko County.

Throughout the year, the United Way of Kosciusko County holds various fundraising and volunteer events to improve the county in three areas: education, income and health. Local businesses, organizations and residents donate funding, time and energy to help fellow community members.

OrthoWorx members account for almost 75 percent of dollars pledged for the entire campaign and have been involved with United Way for more than 15 years. Combined, OrthoWorx member organizations provided 774 volunteers for programs managed by the United Way.

“We are continually grateful for the outstanding support given to our organization and community by the orthopedic companies and other OrthoWorx members. Certainly without them the make-up of our county would be much different,” stated Monica Lyon, Assistant Director of the United Way of Kosciusko County.

This enrichment of the community contributes to our thriving community. “Lake City Bank proudly partners with the United Way,” commented Everett Nifong, Vice President Commercial Banking, Lake City Bank, United Way of Kosciusko County 2012 Campaign General Chair and current board member. “As an individual, I have been involved for many years and value my local United Way as it provides an avenue for me to give back to my community.”

The United Way of Kosciusko County was formed in 1958 to streamline charitable drives and events and eliminate the duplicated efforts within the county. This goal-driven organization now uses its annual campaign as a tool to gather resources within the community that can then be invested to create positive change throughout Kosciusko County.
