The First HireKosciusko Hiring Fair took place on February 29th, 2024 at the Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion. OrthoWorx, in partnership with the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, KEDCO, the
Kosciusko County Community Foundation, the Kosciusko Human Resource Association (KHRA), and WorkOne/Employ Northern Indiana, were pleased to host 14 regional employers, hiring for a variety of roles across many industries.

The event had 128 job seekers pre-registered for the event. Pre-registration allowed the job seekers to upload their resumes to be screened by employers and could schedule interviews prior to the event. During the day of the event, we met 185 walk-in attendees. In total, over 200 job seekers attended the fair. The employers conducted 438 screening interviews, where 50 job offers and second interviews were extended to job-seekers.

“Job Seekers and Hiring Managers alike shared positive remarks about their experiences at the hiring fair,” said Allyn Decker VP of Operations & Engagement at OrthoWorx. “Searching for work can be intimidating and frustrating in today’s automated, online environment so the chance to meet face-to- face really helps facilitate conversations and hopefully, some good matches. We are grateful to the employers who participated and will continue to support the over 200 job seekers who attended.”

We are looking forward to hosting a few more of these events throughout the year with the next taking place in May. Registration for the event will open on May 1st at hirekosciusko.com.
