Marlene Mulero-Betances Named OrthoWorx Individual Partner of the Year

OrthoWorx 2012 Individual Partner of the Year Marlene Mulero-Betances with Brad Bishop, Executive Director, Tammy Allen, Director of Marketing, and Sheryl Conley, CEO of OrthoWorx

OrthoWorx recognized Marlene Mulero-Betances as the OrthoWorx Individual Partner of the Year.

“Marlene models a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship as a professional woman in the medical device industry. She embodies the OrthoWorx mission, which is to work collaboratively with others in the community to build upon our collective strengths for the benefit of the entire community,” states Sheryl Conley, Chief Executive Officer, OrthoWorx.

Upon accepting the award, Mulero-Betances stated, “I am honored to serve our community and to work with OrthoWorx and all of its many volunteers. OrthoWorx is doing so much for orthopedics and our region, and I appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the collaborative work and all that they are accomplishing.”

Mulero-Betances’ recognized achievements include:
• OrthoWorx Diversity Council Member—active member since the council’s formation; served as event leader for the OrthoWorx Diversity Council’s programming at the Warsaw Community Development Corporation’s (WCDC) First Friday September 2012
• Leadership Team Member, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Indiana-Warsaw Region—instrumental in launching HBA Indiana-Warsaw Region September 2012 and serves in advisory role on the team
• Full-time professional in the medical device industry, serving as an information technology professional at DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc.
• Entrepreneur—formed her own company, providing support to the medical device industry
• Community volunteer—serves as a Board Member for the Kosciusko County Community Foundation
