Grace College Offers Accelerated Programs

Grace College continues to offer educational solutions.

During this down economy, Grace College recognized the need for an accelerated degree program. So, the college launched two programs fall semester 2011 in each of its 50-plus major areas of study.

“We have listened to people’s concerns about costs of higher education and are answering them. There is risk, but the risk is far greater if we do not do this,” states Dr. Ron Manahan, President, Grace College.

“Our accelerated degrees enable students to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in three years or a bachelor’s and master’s degree in four years. Both programs make it possible for students to enter the workforce sooner and contribute to their areas of expertise,” states Manahan. “The program is designed to help students achieve their degrees at a quicker pace without sacrificing academic rigor,” adds Manahan.

Grace College is being recognized for its innovative, accelerated programs. Manahan was invited to address a congressional subcommittee November 30, 2011. He provided expertise during a hearing in Washington, DC titled Keeping College within Reach: Discussing Ways Institutions Can Streamline Costs and Reduce Tuition.

The new accelerated degree programs join other solution-based programs offered under the visionary leadership of Manahan. Two of those programs specifically serve The Orthopedic Capital of the World,™ including The Orthopaedic Regulatory and Clinical Affairs Graduate Program and a partnership with Trine College offering engineering degrees on the Grace College campus. Both of these programs were developed in conjunction with OrthoWorx’s Talent & Workforce Development Initiative.

The Orthopaedic Regulatory and Clinical Affairs Graduate Program is the nation’s only graduate program designed specifically by and for the orthopedic regulatory and clinical affairs professionals. “We are proud to announce on May 19, 2012, 30 students are slated to graduate from the program,” states Prof. Allyn Decker, MA, CPLP, Grace College.
