OrthoWorx recently partnered with the Winona Lake Limitless Park (WLLP) Committee in an initiative that included an online crowd funding campaign to benefit Phase II of the Limitless Park.
The online campaign ran through Friday, December 5, 2014.
Crowd funding is a fairly new concept. It is an online platform used for different people who care about an idea to pool their money to make that idea happen. OrthoWorx staff provided the expertise to power the campaign, as it aligns with OrthoWorx community enhancement initiative. Winona Lake Limitless Park is located on the community’s trail system. Our campaign focused on purchasing a super-cool piece of playground equipment called the Playworld Systems NEOS 360 for the Limitless Park. Click here to see a video of the NEOS 360 in action!
“This piece of equipment, and the Limitless Park in general, will be great for children and everyone in our community. It will allow those with disabilities the opportunity to play with their peers on the playground,” stated Erin Porter, WLLP Committee Chair. “Other children will also enjoy the playground and splash pad. It really is a win for the whole community.”
OrthoWorx and the Limitless Park Committee raised a total of over $10,000 during the campaign. In addition to the funds raised, over 1,000,000 impressions were made in the community through local and regional media coverage, social media and events.
