November 5, 2018 WARSAW, Ind. – AcceLINX, the musculoskeletal health business accelerator launched in 2017 by OrthoWorx, announced today that it has added a new member to its roster of consultants who are available to assist startups in their growth from concept to commercialization.

Sheryl Conley, AcceLINX President, said the addition of Phil Lindeman, most recently of DePuy Synthes, augments existing expertise in research and development, new product design, commercialization, manufacturing/operations, intellectual property, distribution, reimbursement and grant writing.

“We are pleased to add Phil’s specialized expertise to our already broad range of skills and experiences from the orthopedic medical device industry,” said Ms. Conley. “His background in human factors and industrial design offers AcceLINX clients another resource for differentiating their products in the market.”

Mr. Lindeman has 30 years of new product development experience in consumer, commercial and medical device markets.  He has spent the last eight years heading up the Industrial Design + Human Factors (ID+HF) group for DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction and Power Tools.  While at DePuy Synthes, he chaired the Global Orthopedics ID+HF Community of Practice, which included human-centered designers from DePuy Synthes’ Trauma, Spine and Sports Medicine businesses.  Prior to serving in that role, he held leadership positions within Motorola and Whirlpool’s global consumer design studios.

He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Business.  He also holds 45 design and utility patents in the consumer electronics, home white goods and medical devices industries.

Mr. Lindeman joins AcceLINX team members Ms. Conley, Mike Hawkins, David Anderson, Todd Dawson, Roy Wiley, Mark Domyhan and Kris Parmelee. More detailed biographical information about each team member is available at http://accelinx.com/our-people/.
