OrthoWorx Partners on FrameWORX Event Showcasing Indiana’s Global Leadership in Musculoskeletal Health

BioCrossroads, in partnership with OrthoWorx and other key community stakeholders, convened leaders from industry, academia, healthcare, and patient communities in Warsaw, recognized as the Orthopedic Capital of the World®, for its FrameWORX event, “The Future of Musculoskeletal Heatlh: Innovations in Orthopedic Medicine and Indiana’s Leadership Opportunity.”

The half-day event brought together more than 200 participants to explore Indiana’s unparalleled role in musculoskeletal (MSK) health, highlight cutting-edge advancements in orthopedics, and map strategies to strengthen the state’s leadership in this globally significant sector. The FrameWORX event highlighted how Indiana will continue to expand its leadership through public-private partnerships, advanced manufacturing, cutting-edge research, and patient-centered care.

Panelists included representatives from across the state including Grace College, OrthoWorx, IU Indianapolis, Medartis, Zimmer Biomet, J&J MedTech, Plug and Play Indiana, All In Kosciusko, Indiana Center for Musculoskeletal Health, and Purdue University. These panelists all underscored Warsaw’s decades-long history or orthopedic breakthroughs and the collaborative ecosystem that continues to attract talent, bolster innovation, and industry excellence.

Dr. Kurt Weiss of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine delivered a moving keynote, blending clinical expertise with personal experience to emphasize the human impact of orthopedic innovation. Dr. Hicham Drissi of Emory University delivered the closing remarks and noted that Indiana has all the ingredients to become globally known as the unmatched orthopedics ecosystem it is already proving to be.
