Jon Serbousek was a Senior Vice President and Officer of Biomet, Inc. During his tenure, he held operational positions of Worldwide President of Biomet Biologics; Worldwide Group President of Orthopedics; and President of U.S. Orthopedics.
Prior to Biomet, Mr. Serbousek held various general management positions with Medtronic, Spine and Biologics. Most recently, he served as Worldwide Vice President and General Manager, Biologics for Medtronic’s Spinal and Biologics business.
Before joining Medtronic, Mr. Serbousek served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for DePuy Orthopedics, a Johnson & Johnson company, from 1998 to 2000. From 1987 to 1998, he held various other positions with DePuy Orthopedics in Warsaw, Indiana. Prior to joining DePuy, Mr. Serbousek began his career with a Japanese, venture-financed medical device company.
Mr. Serbousek earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Engineering from Washington State University and a master’s of science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Utah. He later completed several advanced management programs, including the IMD International School of Management in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Mr. Serbousek has held numerous board positions for profit and not-for-profit organizations and is currently active with the boards of Vesselon (Chairman), MyoScience, BioCrossroads, BioCrossroads Executive Committee, and Indiana BioSciences Research Institute. Additionally, he is a member of the University of Memphis’ Herff School of Engineering Advisory Council and the Grace College Capital Campaign Steering Committee.
