The close of the recent OrthoWorx Match Campaign (click here for details) enables a continuation of our work in initiative areas critical to the orthopedic industry cluster and the vitality of the surrounding community that benefits from the industry’s concentration of employment and human capital.

In three months, $1,265,480 was raised and was matched by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. for a total of $2,530,960. When added to the $4 million June 2013 grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., the OrthoWorx team will focus the $6.5 million to continue its ongoing efforts while introducing and developing additional programming over the next three years.

OrthoWorx is continuing its ongoing charitable and educational initiatives to advance the region as the Orthopedic Capital of the World.® This includes bringing the community more projects like the new Medical Device Quality Management Degree Program at Grace College, the Krebs Park Bicycle/Pedestrian Trailhead, the U.S. 30 Upgrade Coalition and continued growth of STEM education across our region. It also includes deeper connections with Indiana’s higher education institutions for an improved innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

“We are grateful to the commitment shown by the Endowment and our donors to the important work we do in building on our region’s strengths,” stated OrthoWorx President and CEO Sheryl Conley.
